Please help with my W108

I just acquired a 1971 280SE 4.5 V8 with 92K. Its a good car everything works. its just that once its warm its hard to start and runs rough for a little bit. it looks like it has a new fuel pump and injection controller, plugs and wires. Now I have never Had a Mercedes before what things should I check and inspect and adjust or replace. I don't think much has been done to it so far its just been cared for and driven. I just want to take this time to tackle everything that can and should be looked at I just want to have it in a condition so I can drive it anywhere and not worry about it. I hear things about cleaning trigger points and such which I need more info on. Please any help or insight on the different systems will be greatly appreciated and welcome. BTW I have a extensively equipped home garage and a personal machine shop and the knowledge to use them at my house.

David

I think that if you google "D-Jet hot start", you'll be flooded with all kinds of information from MB,Porsche, VW, Volvo and Jaguar Forums.
