now i finally see the virtue of having no sunroof at all
well, folks, this is what a sunroof looks like after flying out of the roof at freeway speed. amazingly, it spun and skidded over to the shoulder. i was able to park on the flyover and walk back to get it. also got some paint damage to the rear roof and trunk lid.
hmm... i thought it was closed... but not closed enough. aargh~!

That's crazy .... Thankfully it didn't hit anybody behind you....This definitely ended very well. Was it working well before it grew wings?

I recall the early (1930's) Rolls-Royce Wraith had a similar issue with sunroofs flying off at speed. They had to be either all the way open or all the way closed to be engaged, I wonder if something similar is the case with your car?

to answer your questions, i had removed some parts to work on a rusted out drain tube and replace the seals - didn't know i had removed anything so crucial as this. oh well...

A video of it would have been nice...

...or even a dramatic re-enactment using paid stuntmen and pyrotechnics.
