Wow, No go from Turner and they seem like they have everything! The threads are too fine.. 1.0, all they had in M12 was 1.25 and up.. which are too coarse.

I emailed some custom bolt makers to see what they can do, This is crazy.

If they don't have it, no one will.

Thanks Al! They didn't have it in stock but it sounds like its a bolt pattern they have had issues with before.. they are going to try and get 6 (10.9) cut for me at thier shop in NYC.

Hoping....HOPING!

Honda uses M12x1.0 flywheel bolts on a number of their engines.
Much easier to find than those from Mother Benz.

Of all the things to hold up the show! hahah
I have access to a local metric supplier that may have them, let me check for you and see.
Are you certain its 1.0 thread? That is called "extra fine" according to my Thread Gauge, 1.25 is fine and 1.50 is medium and 1.750 coarse.
I will send you a PM if you check often, with tomorrow's results after I call the bolt place.

I'm thinking the same. If the flywheel bolts were off, there could be dirt packed in which would make it appear that the thread pitch is smaller then it is. I had the same issue when bolting up a transmission to my 6.3. Spent months messing with 1.5 and 1.25 thread pitch bolts when it turned out to be 1.75 thread pitch.

Thanks for the help! I've had two different bolt places (Turner Hardware and AM ?? look at the bolt) They said 1.0.

Mr.Gasket sent me some 1/2'' - 20 X 1 and its close but too coarse (Not metric).. you can visually tell they are bigger grooves.

Hunting this down makes me think i'm way off or going crazy haha because i can usually find ANYTHING online.. this is quite perplexing.

here is a picture of the old bolt that screws in smoothly and the style i need except Metric/Fine thread. The top one is the correct length and all.

sounds like a show stopper!

I went to Global Metrics of Belmont, CA. They have no webpage and they prefer to sell wholesale but I and a few locals drop by whenever we need metric hardware, Mercedes layered hose (for power steering) or cloth covered hose, which they stock as well as silicone rubber hose that I use in some places where long life is important. Feel free to call them with wholesale orders - $50 minimum for hose is typical.
Now, as to this bolt. It is a application specific bolt and Global Metrics doesn't have any extra fine 1.0mm pitch in that size bolt.
Also note the shank, see how its tapered donw between the thread and the head? That is a stretch bolt, although a regular bolt may work in most places, I would rather use this type of bolt where it was intended.

I suspect this is a dealer-only item. And if not in the MB parts inventory in North America, the dealer parts person could probably order them from Germany, unless its really out of the parts system in which case I guess you are S.O.L.
Or buy the Honda 25mm bolts and cut them down. I had a friend cut down some big stainless bolts for me, he had a Prestorius Wheel, a diamond coated wheel with water lubrication it was like cutting butter! You could chuck the big bolts up and cut them in a lathe, that would be easier than using a hacksaw.

108 032 01 71 (Stick Shift)
108 990 04 19 (Auto) apparently these are 47$ EACH!!!

I was hoping to fine it elsewhere since i know the Stealership is crazy but.... its now just worth going that route after the time ive spent!

THANKS FOR ALL THE ASSISTANCE GUYS!! i'll let you know how it goes.. and will be posting pics of my project soon.
