w108 short fuses

I hooked up the horns wrong (apparently polarity matters) and blew their fuse. This fuse is a little shorty one, about 2/3 as long as the regular fuses. Are these still available? I did not see them at Pelican parts.
If not available I may be able to take the metal part from another fuse and wrap it around this one...

BTW, I have removed the AC condenser assembly so a radiator shop can fabricate a tube so I can use a more common type of AC dryer.
Thanks,

Those short fuses might still be available, but if not you could always go with a BUSS fuse of the same length and amps.

You would need to glue the pointed ends of the blown fuses to the ends of the round BUSS fuses, so make sure you take that bit of length into account.

I have also taken the metal from a long fuse, bent it with some needle nose to shorten it, and mounted it on the short bodies. It works just as well.

You might also try the Mercedes dealer. Or perhaps a BMW dealer since they used the same type of fuses.

The part number for the fuse is 072581-025100N. Though beware, some parts retailers will sell you a regular length fuse, even with that part number. Contact the MB Classic Center. They still have the proper, short fuses. 1-866-MB-CLASSIC (1-866-622-5277).
