Newly Acquired 1965 W110

Whats up guys, I know this isn't a introduction sub-forum but I feel rude to just come in here and just get straight to questions and such. Anyways, I'm Mike, and I just bought this 65 Finnie for a few hundred bucks. And I hope to keep the progress on my experience with the car posted as i've searched myself and could not find much info on it in regards to my problems. So heres the summary:

-74,xxx Miles (not sure if it rolled over once)
-Rust on rocker panels
-Possibly seized/frozen motor from sitting for years (biggest issue for me)

Has anyone successfully unfrozen a M121 or any other W110? I've been using ATF, acetone, and PB Blasted, still wont budge at the crank pulley! Any suggestions? Might just take the head off and see whats up.

Next is the rust, have any of you used Mercedes Miracle Paint to stop the rust? If so, reviews?

Thanks in advance for taking your time out to help me!

Nice choice in cars. I spy a '90 (?) CRX si there too.

I don't think the W110 rolled over once--the roof looks really straight and the glass isn't cracked at all... :D

Cool Ohio ride (guessed from Ohio from the plate). I'm surprised there's anything left of the rocker after the salt they use there.

From the TV shows I watch, it seems like WD-40 + time is the method used to get the engine moving. I was always suspect of their wizardry though.

I actually live in Houston, previous owners plates. I pulled the heads and 2-3 are gummed up, carved off what i could with a razor blade and soaking it in atf right now. I tried heat cycling it by burning gas on the cylinders to expand the metal a bit, still no budge to a time game with atf it is.

Most likely the rings will be stuck even if you get it to turn over. Save your self some time and pull the pistons when you can get them to move. If the rings are stuck the cylinders will be rusty too. All in all you will need to have the cylinders honed and new rings or it will probably smoke.

Yeah i've looked into that, rings arent even a big expense, i can hone and install the rings myself, i was just wondering if all this is even worth it for the 190 motor, knowing moves like a turtle on the roads...

That's a gorgeous car! But boy those pistons sure are froze tight, I wonder if it had a bad head gasket and water got into the combustion chambers? If it was me, I would keep that motor in that car. It appears to nice and original to modify...

I got a 180 unstuck once. the cylinders were ugly.I could't believe it didn't smoke. I put a 4.5 in a 111 fin car, but a 110 would be tight.

Man it would be a dream to have a 4.5 V8 in here! The car is currently soaking in coka cola right now, tried PB Blaster, Seafoam, WD40, still no luck.

Nice car!

If I were you, I would try to swap that for a known good engine, it will be cheaper and less work in the long run. With that corrosion you may be looking at oversize pistons and that will be pricey. I would bet the head is corroded at holes 3&4 also. You could put a 6 cyl in there also, the W110 230 is a 6 cyl.
