W114 weird engine swap (VW)

Hi guy's !

I just sold my w115 300D.

But i still have a w114 230 , that i bought for spair parts ; my goal would be to put a VW diesel engine in it.

I have every information about the VW's part but i'm missing a few thing about the mercedes.

(please pardon my bad english i'll do my best so you can understand me)

To make the back wheels turn forward , wich way the drive-shaft must turn ?

Viewed from the front of the car , would it turn clock-wise or conter clock-wise ?

At 100km/h ( 60m/h) how many RPM would the drive-shaft spin ?

Using the stock tires (iirc , 195-75-14)

Thank you very much for your help , and please don't be worried , i would not have done this to a good shape mercedes , the one i talk about doesn't have much floors left , there's some hole in the fenders , the engine is dead. It would most likely be a winter car and a great build for fun.

Thanks , Gérard.
