Shedding 280C

My 1974 280C has a serious shedding/molting problem!!! About every month I need to vacuum the horse hair from inside the car. Does anyone know if there is a company which sells replacement foam for the seats?

Try these...

Seat Upholstery, Carpet Sets, Converitble Tops, Headliners, Door Panels and Rubber Seals for Mercedes Benz W114, W115 Coupes & Sedans from World Upholstery & Trim

1974 - GAHH Online Store

Good luck!

Same My seats have changed shape since I've owned the car. Waiting until I can pony up $3000 at once for leather and pads so I don't have to do the same work twice.

You can always go to a pick n pull and get the pads....w115s and w114s show up every now and then....I tossed a perfect set of foam seat pads and skins that I pulled from a w114.....and they won't even cost you a tenth of what those outfits charge..

I would not go the foam route, I had foam installed on a 76 300D when I redid the seats (well the upholsterer did it). It would be too soft until it hit the springs.

I wouldn't recommend that type of foam be used....but these cars did come with factory foam pads, from the assembly line.....some cars got untreated horse hair, some got treated, some got foam and even some got all three types...
