I Have just about every MB manual published from the late 50s to 1993. To the best of my knowledge there is no 4.5 engine wiring diagram. I do have a one line function electrical schematic for the entire car. what was your concern?

Thanks for your response, my mechanic has been trying to sort out the injection wiring harness on my 280SEL 4.5... We are working off a W116 Haynes Manual right now and he wanted to see the schematics from a shop manual. Fortunatly with help of a distinguished member of this forum and a lucky find at the junk yard, we got hold of two good FI wiring harneses and made some progess. I think we are about 90% there with this car.

I need an electrical diagram for a 1973 280sel showing the wires from the fuel pump going forward where ever they go. We changed out the fuel pump but we are not getting power to it.
Help need the car for crusing the coast here in Ms. which starts Oct 7th.

Where does the wire from the fuel pump go on the 1973 280sle

It goes to the fuel pump relay, which I believe is on the panel in the right front of the engine compartment by the ECU. I assume you have a w108 V8 car. Send or post your email and I can email you the diagram.

Most of the wiring for the 72/3 280SEL 4.5 would be same as on a 72/73 R/C107. The wiring diagrams are in the chassis section of the shop manual on the Startek sire under Workshop Resources.

it does have a carberator not fuel injection
