W116 junkyard finds. South GA. Many others Benz too.
 

In Eden, GA I went to a salvage yard hoping to find a Benz to steal a few small parts off. What I found was a yard that was nearly 30% Mercedes. All in all I counted 11 W116 cars and 4 W114/W115 cars. There were also twice as many W123 and W126. I am a W116 owner so I kept a tally of those. There are 2 450SEL cars though neither were badged as 6.9 cars and an even distribution of 350SE, 280SE, and only 1 300SD. At least 4 Euro cars, 2 W116s had manual windows, and most were still complete nose to tail.

Did you happen to notice if any of the W116's have good rubber parts used on the door frames in conjunction with the check stops? I have a couple that are marginal. Also would be interested in the Euro front seat belts. The black surround for the "male" end broke.

If you are a W116 guy, would be interested to hear more about those cars. What do you drive, by the way?

There are 35 salvage yards coming up in Eden... could you be more specific ?
