Beck arnley makes decent impot parts but are typically far too expensive for what they are. They're no 1970s Bosch but they are some of the better of the aftermarket manus. Source: used to sell BA retail.

Here's a top-quality Beck-Arnley OM60x fan clutch.

Draw your own conclusions.

Beck Arnley used to repackage decent parts..but no longer. Now I think they buy the cheapest they can get...like URO.

As little as five years ago if you bought something BA you got a better quality part, and the price typically suggested it was better quality.

Back in 2008(ish) I bought a bunch of BA parts for my VW projects from a warehouse in TX that was being liquidated (my guess here) via a cheesy auction site. All the BA stuff had date codes between 2000 and 2003 and everything I bought was good quality...all german made etc.

For the price point BA wants for their stuff I'm kind of surprised they stoop to buying the URO stuff.

The "new" excuse here among the URO lovers to support this false-economy Chinese made garbage is "I only use it for non-critical items -- NEVER for important parts!!"

Yeah, right. Junk is junk, and purchasing it keeps these companies in business.

Does anyone definitively know when Beck-Arnley started going sideways on quality?

Also....what's the skinny on Dorman? I see them listed a lot for MB parts......

Who cares

(about) whenever BA went over to the "Dark Side",ENOUGH to know they're now purveyors of Trash.BUT to really answer your query...as soon as Uro
came online. They ,BA, couldn't/can't buy the junk quick enough.

Look at Dorman as the domestic equivalent to Uro in all things Mercedes parts-wise.

Dorman is in the Uro/APA/FEQ bucket. Junk. I actually think they might rebox Uro/APA/FEQ items.

Aaahhh...i see. So I guess that means that Dorman parts are not sold by THEMBDEALERPARTSSITETHATSHALLNOTBENAMED. Is Dorman sold by The FruitBird Folks?

NON O.E. Parts

The "THEMBDEALERPARTSSITETHATSHALLNOTBENAMED" (A.K.A. "Corn XXXXXXX")can only sell Genuine Mercedes parts under it's contract with MBNA (NeiuJoisey),otherwise,
They'd Vend the uro trash like all the other slime.

I bought beck arnley tie rod ends for my wife's Infiniti last year and although they looked nice, and was pleased to see grease fittings, the boots ripped inside of 6 months.

That was really my last experience with non- oe parts. I buy fluids and Bosch parts from pelican and the genuine mb from another parts dot com site.

Bought a Beck Arnley clutch from that rocky place, showed up and it was a Sachs Disc, Pressure Plate, Throwout Bearing. Every part had made in Germany written on it.

As long as URO does not start making clutches then maybe the clutches won't be ****.
