Question About M180 Engine Crank And Cam Timing
I am working on a 1965 W111 220S. I have set the head onto the M180 engine block with the pointer at the 0 or top dead center mark on the crank pulley, and the notches on the cam and cam tower lined up. Is this all I need to do to be sure that the pistons won't come up and bend the valves?
Sorry for the questions, but I've been reading through the factory service manual, and it only seems to cover diesel engine crank and cam timing.
