1971 280se 3.5 Cabriolet
Hi Guys,
Is this market price or is this a scam? It seems very inexpensive considering its condition: Mercedes Benz Other 280 SE 3 5 | eBay David CT |

I'm pretty sure there is a "1" missing in front of the "3".

It sold already!
Either someone got the deal of a lifetime or this was a complete scam. Odd. |

Some sellers who aren't ebay savvy often simply have someone bid to end an auction if they made a mistake, they don't know you can end an auction early, etc. Scam is possible but just doesn't read that way to me for some reason, I feel a mistake is more likely. I will almost guarantee you nobody took that car home for $35,000 however, and if they did, I need to contact that seller and ask what else he has for sale!

It didn't sell. The listing has "ended".

It does say that on the page linked to but if you click the "see original listing" it says "sold for $35,000.00".

Yet the listing shows up on neither the seller's "sold" or "completed" listing list...

It looks like it sold, but I don't think Ebay marks it completed until the seller receives payment.
The price certainly does indicate a scam, but the seller is not asking for a wire, Western Union or otherwise. He is requesting cash or a bank check in person. |
