WTB complete wiring harness

W115 friends I am in need of some help.

I have a great W115 300d (1975) it is in original form and has been very good to me. It is very complete, has low miles and no rust, all a person could ask for...but for some reason at some point, the wiring harness was totally cut and re-spliced back together in three places. the slices are (I suspect) causing electrical gremlins and intermittent problems... the worse kind I might add.

it is cut by the batt, over the firewall behind the engine and the most terrible, in the steering column.... now why it was cut only to be reattached is a total mystery,

motivated buyer!!! and thanks for the help!!!

The W115 is a nice chassis. My experience is with the W115 240D.

Anyway, sad to hear. removing a wiring harness from a used car seems like a tricky job. hope you can find one.

There is a 240D 1971 in the local junk yard near me, It still has the wiring harness, Although the radio wires I know for a fact has been cut out(done by me someone wanting the radio.) The rest of the wiring appeared in good shape, although the instrument cluster has been removed, there *may* be cut wires there. Car has crank windows and no sunroof. Perhaps this harness will work for you car?

Call me crazy, but I'm not sure the splices in the wiring harness are the source of electrical gremlins. What is your list of gremlins?

On that note, have you re-spliced all the connections, clipped on corroded wringing and re-joined them using electrical connectors? Cleaned the grounds?
