W108 Side markers/reflectors

So I am having a hard time finding replacement reflectors for the sides of my car.

The current ones on the car have two small bolts going through to the inside of the fender secured by little nuts. The bolt ends on the reflector side are actually "T" shaped and hide under the chrome trim of the reflector.
All the replacements I have found are completely different in terms of mounting. They have a clip on one end that holds the reflector to the rubber surround inside and an external screw that goes through the chrome trim and into the fender.

From what I am seeing these replacements will not fit/work with what I have originally. Does anyone know what the deal is with these?

I hope this all made sense

The only side marker lights I'm familiar with have the screw on the chrome, but it only screws into the marker housing. The marker housing has the two posts on the back with nuts for mounting.

What he is describing exists, at least on W113s. Earlier cars do not have the screw in the trim ring around the reflector. I'd have to go look but I am pretty sure my '68 280 does not have the screws, but my 70 300SEL does. I will verify tonight, but there are 2 versions of the reflectors.

Yeah thats what I keep finding too as well as ....Mercedes Front Side Marker Reflector w 108 109 110 111 113 Chassis OEM Used | eBay

What you have there is similar in terms of not having the exposed screws but the mounting bolts are too close together and that seems smaller, mine are not powered.

I tried calling the Classic center but keep getting kicked to voicemail...

DieselPaul,
I think you are on the right track...

Just a follow up to this....

From what I can find, there are 3 versions.
-V1...Reflectors with no exposed screws, wider mounting bolts
-V2...Reflectors with one exposed screw and mounting bolts closer together. Lens is slightly darker amber for the fronts (at least the one i picked up)
-V3...Just the same size mounting as V2 but has signal/parking light bulbs.

The V1 is no longer available new as far as I can tell. I can at least find V2 and dont mind drilling new holes.

Nate, I have never been able to get through to Classic Center by phone. But I've emailed them several times and they always get back to me right away. Their email address is classicparts at mbusa dot com.

The 68-69 markers are reflectors only. Starting in 1970, lights are added behind the reflectors. The 70 and up also have a large hole for the bulb holder in the fender.

They all look pretty much the same WRT W108 and W115, and I suspect the R113...
