73 280 for sale
I am going to look at a 1 owner 280 tomorrow. It is a 6 cyl. with auto tranny. New tires, original blue paint. They claim a/c and all power options work. No leaks and does not burn any oil. excellent condition. 149k miles. They are asking $3500 for it. Does this sound like a good deal? Also what are some things to look out for other than rust? It is a sounthern car.
Thanks! later,

If it is a 114 280, then that is an over-the-top price for that many miles.
I would look out for carb or ignition troubles and make sure that the rear end doesn't whine, and that the trans shifts smoothly. Check the speaker grille on the dash - I just paid $150 for a new one. Make sure the windows all work.
