Any opinions on what this car is worth?

I miss my diesel 116. I don't think this paint job is original so that's a hit against it but other wise it's cleaner than any I've seen in this price range.

Why is not a good deal at 2500?

If I wanted a W116 diesel I think I'd click the Buy-It-Now. I think I still see the climate control servo (which I never liked) and the two-tone paint doesn't do it for me, but the interior looks good.
At $2,500 there's not much downside.

Like you I wish the whole car was the upper color but for me no rust outweighs paint color.

Looking under the hood it looks like the vacuum servo has been changed to an electronic setup?

It's hard to tell from the pictures, and I don't think the seller really knows what he has to answer it. If it does have the servo I'd just drive it until it croaks and put in the upgraded replacement.
