second guessing part out

OK guys. Last year i bought a 80' 280ce euro spec 4spd car for parts. I would have considered fixing it back up but after dragging it home i find out the motor is bad. It will start up and run but the bottom end is knocking for sure. So i swapped the euro parts on my old 240d and let it sit. I sold my 240d and the euro parts and now it's come time to ditch this whole car.

My question is.. as i pull the doors off.. am i doing the right thing here? Trunk is rusted in the corners and rockers are just now starting to rust. Floors are good. Engine knocks. Interior needs trim, carpet. seats are pretty worn. It's a mess of a car really but part of me feels bad for killing it. Any input here guys? The bottom end being bad on the m110 is kind of the deal breaker here for me.

These are old pictures but it's been sitting inside since.

Too bad, it was a pretty car, but if you have already pirated the Euro parts, what's left?
