CIS Injector Seals Install

Hello all, I have a question.. I purchased new injector sleeves and new rubber seals that sit inside sleeve..my problem is that the new seals are not tight inside of the sleeve..Is there a trick to getting them to fit right or is it because I bought aftermarket seals? I got part # 1160780873 from ******** for the seals and part # 1100700055 for the sleeves.. any advice is greatly appreciated..

After your seals are on the injector it will open it up more ,so then it will be a tight fit in the holders

The seals im talking about are not the o-rings that sit on the bottom part of holder..The ones that sit on top of the holders are the ones im talking about. The new ones seem to be a little taller and a little slimmer..thats why they just pull right out of holder..I may try them to install them..hopefully the bolt that goes between the two injectors will tighten enough to compress them..enough..

The rubber boot the injector sits in is almost a press fit.
Suggest rechecking part numbers ...sure sounds like you
got the wrong parts for the right application.

looking just like mine .I do know from your post about the part ,it fits over the injector .Did you try it on the injector and then put it in the holder, its like a condom it streches as you put the injector inside it.lol

CIS Injector Seals Install

Yes the rubber seal fits real snug on injector..Its the way the seal fits in the holder that worries me..There is no resistance at all pulling it out..slides ride out

Its supposed to provide a vacuum seal for the injector.
You either have the wrong rubber boot or the wrong plastic housing
the injector and boot seat in or possibly the wrong injectors.

CIS Injector Seals Install

Hello all, thanks for all of your help.. I installed the seals I had and although they did not have a snug fit around the injector, they did seal properly when compressed by the keeper screws..

I have one more question..I noticed the old injectors were a silver color and the new ones are brass..are the silver ones original? If they not original they certainly looled ancient..lol
