w116 door arm rest broke
In my w116 the driver's door arm rest broke up at the top. The metal just fatigued right where the foam ends, so about 0.5" inside the chrome bezel. I wonder if there's any way to weld the two pieces back together without damaging the foam too badly? I think it would just get too hot though and make a mess.
My car is Bamboo, and I've been looking on ebay for many months now. I can't seem to find another one.

Devcon liquid steel can help too. Very strong, easy to work and permanent.

I don't know, the edge is only a few mm, I don't think an epoxy would hold up, with the pulling on the arm rest and flexing and -40 winters.
