And what year? For instance a 280se in '68 is different from a '69.
The part number for you cam is written in pieces. Cast into it is the casting number. Stamped on the back of it is a code that separates one from another. -CTH |

Suggested:
(1) Buy a Cam "with the Cam Towers " They are numbered ( to use your Cam towers may or may not work depending on condition, A worn Tower is a Big deal ) (2) Bolt the Cam Down and make sure it slides back and forth as well as turns freely Some of those have spacers under the Cam Towers to adjust the cam so it spins freely (3) First thing I would do is check the Head Bolt Torque and this is done in a sequence ! Note : if the Cam does not spin freely bolted down and move back and forth freely your going to have problems Quite often people who have Used Cams do not have the "Matching towers " that where with that Cam However if your towers are in Perfect condition you can simply try the Cam bolted down and see if its free and spins nice in them If so ? I would give it a try & make sure you reconnect All the oil tubes for sure ( you can always run it with the cover off a min to check The Oiling ) |

I have several camshafts and there is a good chance I also have at least one set of towers. I'm not sure when I can check. Maybe a week.
