Bagged W108

Now i know this might not be everyone's cup of tea, but i know everyone here loves pictures

These boards have been a tremendous help, i can't thank everyone enough for answering my stupid questions, and getting me through some sticky situations

I recently made a move to China, so i don't get to see her anymore but i finally got this set back from a friend who graciously took the time to shoot it just before i left, and just before he had to cover car week in Monterey. I had plans to sell it before i left, but it fell through and now consider myself lucky to keep and finish this once i get home

Car is completely original besides the trunk setup and suspension

If I saw your car driving the opposite way, I would probably make a U-turn and follow that bad ass car.

If you brought it back up to original ride height it would be perfect. Beautiful photography!
Just lucky with the rainbow or a digitally enhanced image?

Thumbs up Nice Mercedes Benz! Love the photographs!!

If I saw this car parked on the side of the road, I would pull over and offer to help. Maybe by loaning my emergency triangle until the tow truck arrives.

I have owned two of the W108 sedans. Seeing the car at ground level looks like the air suspension failed to my eye. Having lived in areas that often flood, I would be excited to know the car could be lifted above flood level. Please forgive my old fashioned sensibility. Men of my generation tucked their shirts in, and wore a belt on our trousers so our underwear would not be hanging out.

You have a beautiful car. It is a Classic. I have often thought if I bought a W109 or a W112 that I would prefer to install a system like the one you have instead of fighting the engineering designs of fifty-plus years ago. Your gear is probably more reliable and easier to maintain than the old stuff. I watch Fast and Loud on TV. This week they completed a trick hydraulic suspension. So, I get it. Enjoy your ride! I would give you a thumbs up when you cruise by.

Your friend's photography is fine art. You have a gift. I can see this work being published in magazines or showing prints at a high-end gallery. Cars come and go. You will have fantastic memories and photos. Thank you for sharing these with us. We do love pictures!

This is without a shadow of a doubt, the most gorgeous slammed-out old Benz, I've ever seen!

That car is worth it's weight in gold tricked-out and modded-out that way! To say nothing about it's condition and class value!

Bravo and good show!

I'm normally not a big fan of the slammed German cars that started showing up en mass after Rusty Slamington but this does look good in a classic low sort of way. The trunk floor reminds me of a boat though.

Thank you all again for the kind words!

i am still not happy with the look of the car, the rear still sits a little higher than the front which really really bothers me. i still have the euro headlights and rear plate light to instal which i will also shave the side markers, front fog lights/turn signals, and the rear plate lights. some new paint, bigger white walls, and i will be happy!

Arizona (Tucson) doesn't rain a whole lot but we have a monsoon season which floods pretty bad for the simple fact that we don't have good irrigation setup in the streets. The 108 has saved me several times this year alone when i needed it monster truck style!

China is actually really amazing, nothing like what people told me it would be like. cleaner than the cleanest city i have ever seen in the states, everyone is super nice, the congestion is far worse in LA (both pedestrian and automotive).. i came back to the states on a family emergency, but i'll be back in hopefully within the next two weeks. i'm living in Shenzhen which is the closest mainland Chinese city to Hong Kong. it's considered the silicon valley of China, the second wealthiest city in China, and with the city only being about 35 years old everything is new and there is really no locals so everyone is VERY welcoming no matter where you are from. i haven't really taken any good pictures myself yet so i'm borrowing these from the internet

Really nice car. What system/bags are you running? I'm planning an installation for my 111 coupe and was considering SS6 bags and AccuAir E-Level.
