Radio won't slide out. Need help!
Hi guys,
I'm working on my buddy's 1971 W109 replacing the radio and it won't slide out. I had removed the radio on my W108 so I know the steps to follow. I just double checked Jaime Kop's instructions and there is nothing that points to why the radio would not slide out after the brackets are off. When I try to slide it out if feels almost as if it's bolted to something. Has anyone ever known of original Becker radios bolted from behind? Maybe to the ground bolt on the back? Any advice is greatly appreciated as I'm stuck! Jose

I have, twice, run into Beckers that were bolted in from behind. This was always a previous owner who saw the 10mm bolt on the back and thought that if two mounting points were good then three must be better!
Of course the Beckers in the W111's were mounted in with a few screws in the back and on the sides, where they attached to the amp, but you were talking about the 109. |
