1974 280C Transmission Shifter Adjustment
I will apologize, I haven't stuck my head under the car to look at the transmission to see if it is a cable or linkage, but is there a way to adjust the shifter on a 1974 280C? When I start the car in park it tries to move forward. Also, often I have to put the shifter in neutral to start the car. (Floor shift).
Thanks for the help |

Check the bushings (sorry this involves putting your head under the car)

OK, since I'm assuming you have stuck your head under one of these is it a cable shifter or other?

Linkage, not cable.
Ordinarily, "Stretch" is accused of having his head stuck elsewhere!

No offense intended Tris. Just joshing you. I apologize if you took my attempt at humor in a manner which wasn't intended.
