W114/M110 Throttle Linkage Part ID

Last fall, I bought a 1976 W114 280 sedan off Craigslist for an insultingly cheap amount of money. It had an impressive stack of records and documentation, but it wouldn't start and the gas pedal would go right to the floor without engaging the throttle. I was able to figure out the starting problem (someone cut the condenser wire inside the distributor), but the pedal problem still exists.

I believe the problem lies with this part; please see the attached photos.

When I press the pedal down, this part will turn and get stuck, or pop off the linkage. The rubber is so aged that I cannot make out the numbers on it. I see 110, then what appears to be 1321, but my searches yield nothing. I tried looking for an exploded diagram, but didn't see anything with a similar part. Any ideas?

You have the orientation correct in the second pic; the forward steel plate was bonded to the rubber originally. For a temporary fix, rebond with super glue and 2-4 small sheet-metal screws. Someone here who still has EPC access may be able to come up with the part no.

The condenser wire in the distributor was normally cut if the car still has the original transistorized ignition module hooked up. Sometimes if the module failed, it would be rewired to bypass it, in which case the condenser would be required.
