these three items, and a LOT of elbow grease. I also soaked very fine ( 00000) steel wool in the simple green and lightly rubbed the tex, that work to get a lot of crud off. The leather cream also is a vinyl prodict/softener

well a lot of wiggling, and crossing fingers but the ol mechanism for the sliding sun roof let go of its death grip and allowed me to open her up. Lord knows how long its been closed , but once open and cleaned the rails she worked beautifully. Will need a new fiber seal but closes up tightly from what I can tell. The really amazing thing is no rust anywhere that I can see

next step , both front seats out to clean and shine and now to replace carpet , put sound proof heat shield stuff in front foot wells, then dash ...oh the dash ..gotta figure that one out yet

interior is coming together, seat finished, renewed the AC unit, chrome shined up like new. Carpets in and look really nice

now onto the pesky dash issue.

Running really well one of the carbs is weeping fuel, seems to be the gasket around the fuel inlet, I wonder if rebuild kits are available?

Rebuild kits are available. You'll need two SO-10K kits from Royze. This link is very useful for doing a carb rebuild:
Mercedes-Benz Ponton Solex Type 32 PAITA Carburetor Reconditioning © www.mbzponton.org

I'm in the midst of rebuilding my carbs now and things are going well so far. If you have any questions, let me know.

Where did you get your carpet kit?

Mine are the Solex 34 PICB, I wonder how similar, never have rebuilt a car carb, plenty of weedeaters tho, I guess I could give it a try

My carpets - I removed all the seats , created cardboard templates, and used outdoor "boat" carpet " , a short napped rubber backed product. Strategically used spray on contact glue and set them in. I think it really looks good, and since this car never had carpets from what I can tell ( had vinyl floor coverings?) this looks good and quite an upgrade

Wow! I enjoy following your progress. Did you paint the rubber transmission cover under the air conditioning unit? The carpet looks good from what I can see. Post more pictures please.

Which carburetor is leaking? The front or rear? I installed a new fuel return valve on the front carburetor. The brass of the valve is extremely soft metal that can break off if over tightened. I found out the hard way after rebuilding the carbs on the Emerald Bullet. List price for the part was $259.00 in 2009. If the fuel return valve is leaking you might carefully tighten.

the rear one Jeff and appears to be coming from the accelerator pump housing or from the gasket between the carb and the mounting plate.

I will put up more carpet picts later, but I think it came out great. making the templates is a must . I did the whole car floor for 60$. I am thinking now of finding some ribbed vinyl product for the door drip plates. Only one is missing but I may do all to make it look nice.

I am changing the color scheme as you can see to red and black , instead of the grey. I think it makes the red "pop" more. Yes I used a viny/plastic spray
paint I got from NAPA. It is a great product for that use. Did you notice the seat belts, I dyed those black after soaking them for a few days in simple green to get off the grease. Remounted in same holes but used #5 grade bolts through a reinforced floor using 3/8 inch think steel plates , coated of course in POR15

You'll need a SO-4K kit from Royze instead. My Glenn's manual details a PICB rebuild, I could scan and send pages if interested.

I got an organizer box, took notes and digital pictures. Second carb is going a lot faster...

Been tooling around in the heat and decided to take a look at my radiator hoses. Ummm time to renew them. . I have spent the last 40 minutes trying to find them online without luck. Any one have parts numbers or suggestions The bottom one looks to have a long hose and then. A short coupling to the block There may be generic hoses that will work. Anybody been there done that ?

You mean something like this? Keep in mind this is for my fin so parts may be different. I'd need your VIN and then I could look it up in EPC.

Nevermind the X'd out part number, that's not valid for my VIN but it looks like what is on there now.
