W100 hood release repair?
Hey everyone. thanks for the great forum.
I have a 1969 600, and the hood release shackle/pin gave up yesterday. The hood is open, but I'm not sure what to do about the release cable. I've heard this is NLA. Is there another option I can try to repair? thanks! |

Hi Somo,
Can you upload some pictures? I have never actually seen the Grand 600 in person. I doubt that you will find many on the forum who have one in their garage. I would think that information for a super rare and expensive car will be hard to come by on the do-it-yourself forums. Are you familiar with the M100 Group website?

Sure, I definitely can upload some later. While the 600 is definitely a very different car in many respects, there are a lot of common elements. the hood release looks the same as what you'd find on a w111, w108, etc. I imagine the cable itself is a bit longer though due to the difference in size.
