M117 motor identification

Fellow Benz friends
I Have Found A M117 .962 motor. I Know It's A 5 liter Alloy Motor & has Cast Iron Tri Y Exhaust Manifolds. I Don't Know Exactly What Year Or Model It's Out Of. I Think Maybe A 500SLC. Any Help ? Thanks. Rev. Buzz

The 117.962 was used in 107.046/500SL.
The exhaust manifolds for 107, and 126 chassis may differ.

With a small amount of customizing (hole slotting, clearance for the rear seal holder) the intermediate plate from the iron block bolts to the aluminum block. A 722.0xx was used behind the 117.960 for the 1980 SLCs to homologate them for rally competition.
