Super cool trick, hubcaps/alloys

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd share a really cool trick for removing paint off of hubcaps and alloys I discovered on youtube (and verified/tested).

To remove paint, just simply wipe on "brake fluid" (highly corrosive to paint, but doesn't harm metal/tires)...and leave on overnight.

I tried it and all the paint bubbled off by morning, leaving bare metal (washed paint off with garden hose)!!!

Super cool (nerd alert).

Jub

Dude, cool hack, thanks for posting it. You are certain that the brake fluid will not damage the metal?

Hi Napster,

100% legit. I just did it myself. Also, brake lines and hoses are made of metal and rubber hoses (right where calipers are)....so ya 100% legit!
