Rocker Trim Clip Removal
I still need to remove the rocker trim clips on my w123 for repainting. These hold the trim to the lowest part of the doors and fender & quarter panel. It seems that there is not enough room inside the door to drive through the pins to release the clips. Has anyone done this by drilling out the clip pins?

The question last summer was about removing the pin in the center of the clip. Of course I replaced the clips and it was quite simple to drill out the pins to remove the old clips. Drill with caution, however, as there is very little space between the outer panel and the inner one.
