15" Steelies & Caps: Put on what car?

What would you put these on if in my position?

I've put a set together, but I'm not yet sure what to do with them. Some cars I've got:

1973 280se 4.5 w108 - not exactly a performance car and my suspension needs so much work I think the 14" are good for now. Heavier wheels won't necessarily be good either. This car actually came to me with 5.5 alloy steelies, but not has regular steel wheels.

1978 450slc 5.0 custom convertible c107. Currently 225/50/26 on 8x16 et11 rears and 205/54/16 on 7x16 et21.5 front weave fondmetals wheels. These might give it a more classic look, but the car needs all the sportiness it can get in its looks. Heavier wheels won't help much.

1985 280sl 5-speed stick r107. Maybe.

A bunch of w126 SE sedans:
- 1985 500se AMG. Nope.
- 1980 280se 4-speed stick. Maybe. Probably not though since it's beat up.
- 1983 380se also a beater being used by a friend. No real benefit there.

I'm looking into possibly a stick shift w108 SE restoration project I will get my hands on next weekend, and if my dreams come true a stick shift w111 cabriolet some day.

I guess I've put this set together now and wonder what the heck I'm going to end up using them on. I never envisioned I'd be at this point and not know what to do with the wheels. They currently have 205/65/15 tires on them.

I'm hoping to check and see if they clear the calipers on a 560sl. They look like they MIGHT, but probably not. I can't wait to find that one out.

I'm in favor of the '78 for a classic look, but whatever you decide those tires belong in the dump.

Thanks. I will probably give them a shot on the 107.026 convertible to see how they look, but the car really is more of an 80's conversion being done in 1984/85 with recaros and some 80's weave wheels.

Here's the 1975 280sl too:

Edit:
I hear you on the dump comment. The Goodyear is the spare and older. The others are very dry rotted, but are good to figure out what car I like these on most. Once I figure that out, I can then get new tires. For now I will "be green" and get the most out of the tires before starting the clock on a new set to put in the landfill.

What did these come on? I'd love to have a set for my w108.

What Mercedes did these originally come on? Were they an option on all models?

Fonzi,
If I hadn't just bought new 14" tires, I would have tried to buy those off you. As you know, much better choice in 15" tires if you want more than a T speed rating. I bought new 14" Toyos for the 107 and 123 last year.

The hubcaps came on the 600 limousine cars and w114/115 ambulance / hearse vehicle I believe. The wheels I have came from a 1986 300se w126 Korean delivery vehicle.

So....

I can just find these up at the local Pick-N-Pull?

And on a serious note... During the eighties I was walking through a wrecking yard on South Lamar in Dallas, which once had a great wrecking yard where a drive-in theater had been, and there was a 600. It was stripped of everything but the body work.

Still, it was weird to see such a car sitting in a low rent part of town.
