1976 300d 115 chassis
Have a 1976 300d and does not have an oil cartridge filter, no oil filter at all. Was told this engine was only used in 75 and 76.? Also without the air conditioner hooked up does it still require front electric fan to keep temp down?
Wanting to keep this classic on the road, I'm in Illinois and was told that this car was owned by a chemist who was the second only person to know the formula for CocaCola, created how to carbonate Coke for cans. Sounds like fishing story but I put every shred of papers, owners manual bill of sale in a Walmart bag and it is lost somewhere on my property. If anyone in St. Louis area can help me find parts that would help any one with diagrams of the motor or whatever I thank you,! |

Should have the same canister set up used on the OM616 (240D). Canister is on the left lower engine block. Accessed from the bottom.
The 100C fan should still be retained even without operating A/C.
