I am in the process of rebuilding my M110 engine and need an oil pump. I also am looking for 1101804001 of equivalent. I am located in Texas and any help would be greatly appreciated. Metric Motors in California has a few left but don't want to sell. Thank you

Metric Motors gave me a price of 1250.00 USD. I am going to take a close look at my pump maybe it is OK. Any information you could provide as to specifications or parts to rebuild my pump would be appreciated. Thanks

With oil pumps in general, most wear occurs on the cover plate / gear pocket in the main housing. Do you have a 2 spur gear pump or gear in a gear "Geo Rotor"?

For various machines ( automotive or not ) I've surface ground the end cover then ground the body until my end clearance is perhaps 0.003 " ( Check your shop manual for suggested clearance )

The shaft might be able to be replaced with ground stock / drill rod. If the housing bushing is worn, this could be resleeved.

About the only real difficulty in rebuilding a pump is radial gear to housing clearance but luckily wear here isn't a huge issue.

Got any pics?

I'd suggest a good used pump--they're extraordinarily long-lasting. One of my M110 engines worked fine for 400,000 miles with the original pump.

Perhaps Adsitco in Indiana has some good used pumps--they've been rebuilding M110's for decades--good luck

thanks for all the input, it looks like I will go over the pumps that I already have, and see if there is anything worth salvaging.
