Maybe a bad contact on either the front or rear left signal bulbs even though the bulbs do work? Again, the hazards and signals don’t flash as fast as they used to with the old relay, just the left signal is slightly faster than the right.
The old relay was bad (or needed cleaning or something but those are difficult to get open). The new one is fine. It's detecting a different resistance between the left and right sides. Probably just a different wattage bulb.

Mine was also flashing very fast. I replaced the flasher with a '550' type that is fairly common, but an electronic variety. I could run LEDs with that, but I don't care much for LEDs. Most of them as not as bright as the incandescent bulbs because their light does not hit the light's reflector correctly. So they look bright from directly behind, but if one moves off to one side just a bit the light is much dimmer.

From what I remember when I looked at all of them not too long ago, they were all the same but I'll check again and check for proper connection as well even though they do flash.

How did you go about connecting that style of relay? I have LED's on just my brake lights right now and I love how much brighter and responsive they are compared to the incandescent bulbs. I wanted to run LED's in the turn signals as well but I know I will either have to modify the flasher relay somehow or run load resistors on each corner of the car (1 per turn signal bulb) which is not what I really want to do since I'll have to drill holes somewhere on the body to mount them since they get really hot.

So a brand new relay and swapping out both front turn signal bulbs from 18w to 21w, fixed my hyper flash issue as well as one side flashing faster than the other. Now everything flashes at the same speed and how they're supposed to.

Thanks to everyone who has helped!

See pic. That is how I connected a 550 style flasher. Only 2 of the pins are connected, the third one is for the dash light, but the MB wiring has those split off somewhere outside of the flasher.
