W126 instrument swap

I installed the cluster I got from a 1989 SEL and everything works but the speed is showing faster than it should be. Any ideas?

What year and model is your car? Is the wheel size different from yours to the 89?

A bit more information would help here. What car? What donor vehicle? You made sure the final drive ratio on the differential matched right? The W126 speedo is electronic, it's calibrated for a specific rear end ratio.
