71' 250 Base: Rear Window Defroster

U.S.1971 250 /8 BASE.
Vin 114.011
Eng No. 130 923-12

this car has a rear window defroster, but I'm not able to locate the switch that activates it.

I also don't find it on the Haynes wiring diagram.

Anyone have the answer where this switch is located ?

The switch should be in the lower portion of the centre console. It should have a black knob with a light-up white circle in the middle that controls it.

Fredd-
Previously, you asked (and were provided) a link to a .pdf of the owner's manual. It clearly shows the location of the switch.

item 21

If you don't have that switch, I would suspect someone changed out the rear window at some point in the life of the car.

Shorts, Was that you that send me that link ?

I'm new to this forum and I'm having a hard time figuring out how it works.

For example,

1. is there a way I can see all the posting that I've posted so I can reference back to them ?

2. the link you provided, (and the past driving manual link) are both in German, not English.

3. Once I find a good FACTORY wiring diagram and FACTORY owners manual (both in English) Then I will be able to trace and locate much more of these questionable issues on my own.

Hmmm, I am puzzled. So when you click on this link:
http://eva2.homeip.net/W115/program/OM/OM-14.pdf
... you get a file from the owner's manual in German? That is too strange. I hate to sound incredulous, but a link to a specific pdf file should not appear differently to different people. That the the whole idea behind Portable Document Format. Not sure what to say further on that topic, but it sure appears in English to me (and has for the many years I have used that website).

Regarding seeing your old posts, yes, there is a way. Click on your username in the upper right corner of the screen. On that page, is a tab called Statistics. If you click on that, it has a link to see all your posts and another link to see all the threads you have started. So hopefully they help keep track of things.
