M110 engine out of yard

Can get the block 110.986 with some honing still visible for $280.
Worthwhile getting it?
Had 8.7 compression from factory. Seems like with lower dome then the 110.984 engine?
Have the head already to modify for electronic injection.

110.984 i yard

That's because I took the head off that engine.

No, that's not what I'm asking. Do you think the car is in the junkyard because the car was crashed? Or because it had been abandoned and became rusty? Or because of mechanical failure....? Cars get junked for a reason. If you know the reason then you are more likely to know if the engine is good. But if you already took the head off then you probably know quite a bit about it...

Oh, sorry about that!
Rust did it in. In my oppinion it could have been saved, but.....
Some honing still visible . Cams look good . Very even combustion across all cylinders (look the same)
