Mystery w108 Part
I found a stash of parts and tools the came with my dad’s 1969 280S 4 speed and I don’t know what this is. It’s possible it goes to a Dodge 4x4 instead but the other parts I found are Mercedes. Thanks.

For the 108 Mercedes a transmission output flange and flex disc. They go at the end of the transmission/front of the driveshaft coupling them together. Should be part numbers on them. The metal piece may also be for centering the driveshaft. Is it splined inside?

That's a flex disc with the cross joint. No splines.

Well, now I'm more than curious, I want to get under there and see the condition of the rubber on the car! Thanks!

if you install it, there's a right way and a wrong way based on how the rubber and fabric gets tensioned during acceleration.
