W114 Coupe seat donor choices?
 

Hi all,
I would like to find a couple of front seats for my 1969 W114. I dont care where they come from, but they should fit a W114 Coupe and fold to allow passengers into the rear.

What are you asking? How difficult it is to fit non-MB 114 coupe seats into a 114 coupe? Or has anyone already done this and what did they choose? Is it because the condition of your seats isn't so good or because you just don't like the look....?

I'm not sure if some 107 seats would fit. If anyone has an older Hollender interchange book they might be able to look it up. Some editions had an interchange for seat tracks, some didn't.

The seats in a Coupe are unique in that the bottom springs have a notch in them to hold the device that keeps the seats from flinging forward during a quick stop. That's why that latch is on the side of the seats.

So short of installing seats from another Coupe like you have or installing some 107 seats, if they fit, I think you are stuck with rebuilding the ones you have.
