Stunning '73 W116 for Sale!
Hi guys, hope everyone is doing great! I wanted to pass along this eBay listing. It's from the same guy I bought my friend's W109. His cars are always immaculate. This one is no exception!! Maybe one of you would like to add to your stable :-)

Wow....that thing is gorgeous

$14k is a lot, I think.
Nice presentation, though. |
6.9's are struggling to crack that kind of money...

Nice, but 116s aren't worth crap.

Indeed it pains me to agree, but you can get very nice 116's for walking around money. These are great, underappreciated cars. Road feel second to none and more than enough power to cruise @ 100-120 mph all day long, if you can afford the gas:)

at 8500, I paid 2500 for it. I have been offered 6500 for it twice in the last month. Sure many go for much less but it's condition that sets the price on these.JMO |
I think people are speaking comparatively as far as W116s versus other models of similar vintage.
The W116s are the R129s of the period. Nice cars, well appointed, there's just no love for them compared to their cousins, like the W123, for example. W114s are much the same. I suspect it's the styling, as neither model is as distinct as ones before or after them. |
A True Stunner
Yep ;
That's a sweetie all right . Sadly the day of the W116 has passed by . This doesn't look like original paint to me ~ I remember these new and never saw even one with this much orange peel in the paint, especially the right rear quarter panel . There's an S Klasse Enthusiast out there who will cherish this fine car . |
