uShip is the best IMO. Used them a number of times. Always got great deals. Wait until the end of the entire reverse auction.

U ship is a web site to connect shippers with random loads. You post what you want shipped and providers offer bids.

U ship is also a haven for unlicensed shippers so quality can be spotty. ( no DOT or ICC number , poor / no insurance )

I used this once when I bought a broken skid steer 400 miles away. The guy that bid was 5 miles away from the pickup point and the drop off point was a few miles off his route to pick something else up so everything worked out. Given a skid steer can be more or less dropped off a trailer without damage, I took a risk.

Outside of U ship, there are " shippers " that turn out to be brokers. When you need to file a claim, you have to track down the many trucks your car rode on as it is rare a single truck will be making the entire trip. I had a car pretty heavily damaged ( like 3 K back in 1995 ) in shipping and after months of calls, I only got half of my shipping fee returned.

For a car that is easily damaged, pay the $ and get a name company.

Get a hold of DieselPaul , he is a car dealer and has cars shipped.

Yup. This is a service every occasional shipper can use. And you can tailor the shipping requirements to your specs.

Such as picked up at your house and delivered to your new address. A lot of commercial shippers will only touch your shipment if you deliver to their yard and then pick it up at the destination.

U ship allows this if you wish, or full service shipping. Like Greasser said: You will be sure you will get a great deal by using this site regardless of your requirements.
