108 power window regulator length....

I was looking at some window regulators that I can tell came from a 108 or 109 but I can't tell which window they came from. Right and left I can figure out. It is front and back I am curious about.

I cannot find a part numbers on any of these, which I know is strange for Mercedes.

Is there a way to tell the front from the rears? Arm length perhaps, or is there another way?

Anyone know what the arm lengths should be for which?

All of these have their motors removed.

These are also from later model 108's. They are not the earlier types with the little square motor and rubber damped joint.

Rear regulators interchange with the fronts. I think the stop is adjusted based on which window it's in (front or rear). I don't recall if the arms are different, but I think they're the exact same. I know because I replaced my bad driver's window regulator with a good one from the rear of a junkyard car, since all the driver's regulators wear over time, but the rears (due to less use) are usually good still.

Now that is information that anyone who owns a 108 needs to know.

It seems like the driver's door always goes first. (Duh.)

So a slight adjustment will allow a rear driver's door to replace the front.

Wonderful. Thanks for such useful information.
