W111 Brake Booster rebuild?

I looked at 108/111 rebuilt brake boosters and discovered prices have tripled since I looked at them last. Assuming they can be rebuilt? I thought I saw a thread somewhere but I think it was old. Anyone have recent experience?
Thanks

Searched a few different keywords and came up with this:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cardone-Industries-53-5936-Remanufactured-Power-Brake-Booster-W-O-Master-Cyl/323466711714?fits=Model%3A280SE%7CMake%3AMercedes-Benz&epid=76649727&hash=item4b501e52a2:m:mWaReXfFX6qB5tiJLTgouEw:rk:1:pf:1&frcectupt=true
Anyone have experience with Cardone?

Only that their axles were more often than not reported to be OK - other than that no personal experience

I bought a cardone refurb booster for my beater, 1999 300M.
It comes UNPAINTED. It corrodes fast. I don't know how they can legally sell them like that. US Auto Makers are forced to recall if they put something like that in a vehicle! I did not paint it for fear I'd get denied on warranty. It wound up rusting out between where the master mounts to the booster, after a year and a half.
The replacement failed out of the box. Went to go to a store 3 miles from my house, brakes locked up completely on me halfway there. Had to loosen the master mounting nuts to be able to drive back home.

Stay away from their garbage. I got a pulled part from eBay, about a year ago, it's still serving me well.
