WTB: 1971 Mercedes 280S Ignition Module
Hi,
I have a 1971 Mercedes that's not getting spark. I think its the ignition module that's at fault. I changed the spark plugs, ignition coil and so that leads me to believe the module is at fault does anyone have one from a parts car? much appreciated I can email/text a picture |

That module must be well grounded. From the picture, it looks like yours is.
The next thing to do if it appears dead is to open it up and remove the big TO-3 transistor and solder another on in its place. If forget the specs, there are old threads here that describe the right part, a 2N-something-something-something. -CTH |

If it's bad, check Programa.
I bought a rebuilt ICU from them for my 1974 450SEL and it works great.
