Post VJUR6BR47T 0231 116 038 distrbutor vacuum box for sale?

I just recently posted a new topic on my woes of solex and timing, but soon i made a discovery that my vacuum box isnt functioning correctly as i sucked hard on the tube and it didnt move and i couldnt suck air through it so it might be clogged or something? The pushrod i tried to push into the diaphragm but it wouldnt budge too much and with ease and so thats where im at, i just need the vac box for the distributor listed which as im not surprised is going to be a needle in a haystack

Vacuum box as in vacuum advance? If so , you need a stronger vacuum source. Also , using lung power for suction is dangerous as you might inhale oil / fuel.

For most cars, the vacuum advance only becomes active at light throttle while driving. Puling the throttle open without a load generally won't give you vacuum advance. Increasing ignition timing under light loads increases fuel economy.

I mean its already at the base of the carbs, there really isnt a better place for the vacuum source since this car doesnt have a brake booster either. Its fine ahah dont worry bout that part, i mean i did it cause i dont have a vacuum pump is why. Well with the vac advance on this car i dont get a difference between timing with no advance and advance and the pushrod wont move with ease at all, i might tear into it a little and try to look inside see whats up tomorrow in the morn

Have a look at a carb cut away, a vacuum advance port is actually slightly above the throttle blade and mostly at atmospheric pressure. When the throttle is opened far enough, the port is now below the throttle blade and exposed to engine vacuum.

While a carb is mechanically simple and analog, there are many subtle dynamics that naturally occur in operation that have to be programmed into an FI system.

The port is on the carburetor but these solex carbs arent exactly like a webber carb, theyre "sPEcIAl" because they have turned my upside down inside out trying to tune and adjust them but i finally got it down after about a year of just these pair of solex carbs, i wish i could upload a file of the pic where the vac port is on these carbs. But these carbs butterflies dont open normally they open opposite ways of each other so like thing of when the throttle is opening the butterflies look like (if it was cut away) pointing down like an arrow facing down, but when theyre closed theyre kind of flat or slightly open for the idle circuit, plus like i said the pushrod of the vac box barely moves when i push on it and i cant get it to activate by simply sucking on it

I hate it when people are right but i have to give it to you, there was no vac at the carbs leading to the distributor advance but there isnt vacuum after a partial opening of throttle, but i figured it out and the timing is very much correct right now but there was a hidden issue i overlooked for the carbs... one of the pump levers is sticking closed so when i blip the gas it lags excessively from the second carb, the second carb pump lever is on point to accelerate but the first carb lever only goes so far before it jams and then it starts missing at higher throttle opening so it was an issue i kept overlooking oof but thanks for the help on the vacuum lesson! I got it after a few times running what you said through my head
