Euro vs US lights in the w111
Aside from from the aesthetics, are there any differences in the Euro vs US headlights in the W111? Can they be easily changed (i.e. going from Europe lights to US lights)? Thanks

I swapped my '66 to euro lights back in '93, and it wasn't difficult.

It's a straight-forward swap. But... A relay is recommended so that the original wiring is only driving the relay and a fresh circuit, fused, is driving the lights.
There should be ancient post here showing the schematic recommended by Daniel Stern. -CTH |

The incandescent bulbs in the euros are just 55w/60w, and nothing special wattage wise for the small turn signal bulb, fog light bulb, or the parking/city light bulbs, so I didn't relay mine.

Interesting, thank you.
Just curious on the opinions here: from a market perspective are Euro lights more or less desirable (in the US)? |

can't help thinking about what the overall agreement in regards to appearance and worth of vehicles with one or the other Euro or US headlights introduced?
