Body plate reproductions

Hello again.

I have a few plates from my W111 coupe that I need to replace (pics attached). The VIN plate I think I can replace here in the UK, but there are two others..a small one which mentions the seat belt anchorage adhering to some standard or other, and another which is bigger than the VIN plate and which I think has the colour code and other numbers on. Is there somewhere that supplies stickers to replace these, or better yet supplies metal versions?

Thanks all,

I have had good luck in getting a trophy shop to reproduce vin/data plates. There is a fellow that advertises in Hemmings Motors News that is able to stamp or emboss the letters and numbers. You need to provide proof of ownership of the vehicle. A trophy shop makes the plate to be embossed or stamped.

Contact Bud's Benz in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. They do work with customers internationally (one Frenchman sent his SEC interior panels to be recovered in leather). They specialize on pagoda SL's from the same time period, but work on other Mercedes models as well--no doubt they will have what you're looking for. One time they had a cache of NOS stickers, and I'm sure the plates they can obtain or restore for you.

The seatbelt standard was a UK only thing, so there may be UK suppliers that reproduce them for most classic cars.
