76 mercedes 280c aux fan temp switch
un pluged wire fr aux fan temp switch grounded it motor turns now. looks like a very tight fit to remove theres a pipe and metal bracket in the way . how does this come off? cant get a wrench . crowfoot or socket in there . weird looking temp switch with wide body on top

Why are you removing it without testing it? It's rare for them to go bad. The temperature switch wiring circuit is independent of the A/C compressor circuit. They use the same relay but the grounding legs are activated separately.
Test the switch by running the car until the temperature gauge reads apx. 105C (220F). If the fan doesn't come on, THEN replace the switch/sensor. The temperature sensor plays no part in the fan operating when the A/C is engaged. That is controlled by the A/C circuit.
