High mile m117

https://www.copart.com/lot/61284699
439,005 miles!
"VIN" (Serial) 10704412005562 - the 107.044 indicates it's an M117 (US market), despite the 350 badges.
I will attach some pics here because Copart's link will eventually die.

The speedometer is a dead giveaway that it's not a 350, as it only goes to 160 Kilometers per hour. The "mileage" on this neglected poor W107 is actually 272,785 miles.

All US 4.5 r107 in 1972 were badged 350sl. Long story you can research anywhere.

Itís a 160 MPH speedo, and it looks like the original correct style for a US 1972 350sl (4.5).

So I generally disagree with all that is written by @280EZRider has written above.

The yellow tick at 60 is the limit for 1st gear. That sure does look like 60kph to me. -cth

I was going to say the same, my 108 4.5 with the 3-speed had ticks in the same places, on its factory 160MPH speedo.

W108 4.5 should have a 3.23 (or 3.27?) rear end I think while the early 107.044/024 cars have a 3.06. So the speeds should probably be slightly lower for the shift points on a w108. I should just look at a w108 4.5 speedo, but trust my guts on this one.
