M130 flywheel bolt specs

The flywheel to crank bolts are reusable but only if within spec. I have the m116/117 manual with thier specs but the bolts are different and I don't have a 6 cyl book. Does anyone have the book they can tell me the specs from? It's just like this . I would imagine m110 is the same but I think m180 are smaller. I found an engine rebuild manual but it doesn't go into the bolts.

The 130 is the single ohc motor that preceded the 110, right?

rwd:

If you are working on a M130, and you have the flywheel bolts in hand, what is the thread diameter and pitch? M12x1.5, or M10x1.0

M12x1.0 it looks like to me. Finer than the lug bolts by a good bit. 1mm per thread as far as my digital caliper says.

In the absence of a manual page:
For M12x1 (grade 10.9 or 12.9), use 40Nm initial torque, plus 100-110 degrees of rotation.

My concern is the stretch/length and current dimensions of the necked down portion. If they have been overtightened or used multiple times(unlikely but possible) they may be under spec. The necked down portion is smaller than the specs for the m12x1. 5 v8 bolts but who knows if it's the same spec.

There might still be some manuals on the STARTECINFO web site.
https://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/doclist.jsp

I have found this helpful quite a bit. You probably already use this but there is a lot of stuff out there. The 107 Star Library has a lot of applicable information for both the iron and alu engines.
There might be some ARP flywheel bolts that would work for your application.

Karnak, the great mentalist, held the envelope to his forehead for a moment, predicted the contents, tore it open, and extracted a blank piece of paper, thereby confirming his prediction.

Does "smaller" have any numeric value, or was Karnak correct?

I would not think the 130 came with stretch bolts and the factory bolts are reusable.

Well the m12x1.5 v8 bolts are 9.8 new 9.2 min. The m12x1 I-6 bolts were 9.17-9.19 so I had concerns which led me to this chase. Luckily Fonzi came through with w114/115 service manual info. The bolts I have are in as new basically so 60$ and a week saved.

Frank, I guess you hadn't noticed I said the bolts were m12x1 and that was the "smaller than the m12x1.5" spec I was speaking of.

After a bit more inquiry, it turns out that "smaller" does have a numeric value; bravo!
