greese tool for right angle spots
Greese tools are almost extinct in any shop that doesn't regularly care for vintage cars. There are two shops here in Nashville that I have cultivated (educated) about my 1970 W108 280 SE base model. When it comes to the regular lube service where the greese points are hard to get to unless you have a right angle fitting these shops have resisted buying the right tool.
So I will buy the right tool and add it to my specialty tool kit. What do I need to buy and where can I get it? Thanks |

Also get something like a Plews 05-042 to grease the door hinges or use oil from a pump type oil can. There is a small dimple in the hinge, the hole in the dimple is often clogged with crud. Clean it out and get some very thin grease or oil forced in there.
It makes a notable improvement. Good luck!!!

I think the factory wanted oil in the hinges???; however, I’ve used suspension grease with great results. Grease may be better now since hinges of that age will have increased tolerances. Grease or oil will help a lot.
Good luck!!!

I use a chain saw grease gun for door hinges. Works well enough for a job that's only needed every few years for most drivers.

Are you familiar with LocNLube products? I have had great luck with the multi-tool kit (see link). All of their products are top-flight, individual grease couplers, the grease guns, and the extra-long hoses make difficult to reach areas "easy". Every time you use them you will glad you made the investment. Regards.

Any grease is better than no grease at all . I go for Molybydenium sulphate or just molly grease .This is long lasting so once done its over with for 5 years .
